Term 1 "Learn to Draw" drawing and illustration classes (8-12 years)
Mondays, 4.30 - 5.30pm, Untitled Gallery + Studio, Coconut Grove, Darwin
Explore traditional illustration and drawing techniques, and experiment with a range of paper-based mediums including graphite, pen and ink, watercolour, charcoal, pastels, coloured pencils, and markers.
These classes balance technical skills, including understanding tone, colour, shape, and shading, with creative thinking, imaginative drawing, and problem solving.
Term 1 dates (mini term - 6 weeks): Monday 24 February - Monday 31 March 2025.
This term will explore:
Developing confidence with sketching
Introduction to light and shadow
Drawing from life
Illustrating Top End bird life

Important info:
Classes are drop-off / pick-up style
Doors open 5 minutes before class starts
Parents and guardians are welcome to pop into the studio at pick-up to see student work
All materials provided
Finished loose work can be taken home at the end of the session, sketchbook can be taken home at the end of term
Students are encouraged to bring a drink bottle and to wear clothes that are suitable for art making (in case of paint splashes!)
